FAQ

We believe in being open about what goes into our products—so you can feel confident in what you’re bringing into your home.
What are your chopping boards made from?

Our boards are made from FSC-certified pine wood fibre and a food-grade resin.

The wood fibre comes from responsibly sourced wood by-products, helping reduce waste while supporting sustainable forestry.

The resin used is 100% BPA-free and compliant with international food safety standards. It creates a non-porous, moisture-resistant surface, making the boards easy to clean while enhancing durability and longevity.

Are your chopping boards safe to use?

Yes. Our boards are designed for everyday kitchen use and meet recognised international safety standards.

Our manufacturer holds certifications including FSC, FDA, and LFGB, ensuring materials are responsibly sourced and suitable for food contact.

Are they dishwasher safe?

Yes. Our boards are dishwasher safe, making them easy to clean and practical for daily use.

Do they contain plastic?

Our boards are made from compressed wood fibre combined with a food-grade resin binder.

The resin is BPA-free and helps create a strong, moisture-resistant surface. While not 100% natural, this combination allows for a more durable and practical everyday board.

Will they damage my knives?

No. The surface is designed to be gentle on your knives.

Over time, you may notice light knife marks - this is completely normal and helps preserve the sharpness of your blades.

Do they absorb smells or stains?

No. The non-porous surface resists absorbing odours and stains, making the boards more hygienic and easier to clean than traditional wooden boards.

For best results, we recommend washing after use.

Do they slip on the bench?

No. Each board has non-slip feet to keep it stable during use.

How do I care for my boards?

For everyday use, simply wash by hand or place in the dishwasher.

To keep them looking their best, avoid prolonged soaking and dry thoroughly before storing.

How do I remove marks or refresh the surface?

Occasionally, light water marks may appear - these are cosmetic and part of normal use.

To refresh your board:

  • Mix bicarb soda with a small amount of water to form a paste
  • Gently scrub with a soft cloth or sponge
  • Rinse with a little vinegar, then wash with water
  • Dry completely
